Collection: Aeromonas and Psudomonas

Aeromonas and Pseudomonas bacteria are very common in recirculating pond environments. This pathogenic bacteria causes serious bacterial infections which enter the koi from open wounds and sores which occur from parasites as they penetrate the slime coat or from skin damage. Stress is a major factor in the attack, poor water quality is a primary suspect and the damage it can cause leads to illnesses such as ulcer disease, fin rot, tail rot, mouth rot, “dropsy” and ultimately death.
