Nitrifying Bacteria

Nitrifying Bacteria is made up of Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter bacter. These are the bacteria responsible for removing ammonia and Nitrite from the pond water. They colonize on any surface but are prominent inside a biological surface area like a pond filter.
